Stump Grinding

Stump Grinding

Reclaim your yard with fast, clean stump removal — grindings hauled away or repurposed as mulch.

A stump is more than an eyesore. It is a tripping hazard, a haven for carpenter ants and termites, and an obstacle to mowing and landscaping. Grinding takes the stump down six to twelve inches below grade so you can replant grass, install a garden, or simply forget it was ever there.

Our equipment ranges from compact walk-behinds for tight gates to large self-propelled grinders for industrial-scale projects.

How Deep We Grind

Standard grinding takes the stump down 6–12 inches below grade. For new construction or replanting in the exact spot, we can grind deeper or fully excavate the root ball.

Cleanup Options

You choose: leave the chips on-site for mulch, spread them thinly in the surrounding bed, or have us haul everything away. Most homeowners reuse the chips elsewhere on the property.

Pricing

Most residential stumps run between $150 and $400 depending on diameter and access. Multi-stump discounts apply when several are ground in the same visit.
